Ha Giang Loop 2-Day Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Ha Giang – Quan Ba – Yen Minh – Dong Van
8:00 AM – Meet the Peak Riders team at our base in Ha Giang city. After breakfast, your tour guide will give a detailed briefing about the itinerary.
First stop: After 30 minutes of riding, we will arrive at Bac Sum Pass, the gateway to the Dong Van Karst Plateau UNESCO Global Geopark. From the top, enjoy the stunning view of winding mountain roads resembling a giant snake weaving through the hills.
Next, we will visit Quan Ba Heaven Gate, located 1,500 meters above sea level, where endless limestone mountain ranges stretch out before your eyes. Just a short ride further, we will stop at the panoramic viewpoint over Tam Son Town and the famous Twin Mountains.
Continuing on, you’ll visit Lung Tam Village, home to the Hmong ethnic community who have preserved their traditional hemp-weaving craft for generations.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Lao Va Chai – Yen Minh, with beautiful views of terraced rice fields.
In the afternoon, we’ll ascend further into the karst plateau and conquer the famous Tham Ma Pass, known for its picturesque hairpin turns.
The final destination of the day is a visit to the historic Hmong King’s Palace, before arriving at Dong Van town around 5:00 – 5:30 PM, where you’ll spend the night in a traditional local homestay.
Day 2: Dong Van – Ma Pi Leng Pass – Meo Vac – Mau Due – Yen Minh – Ha Giang – Bus to Hanoi
After breakfast, we start the day with the iconic Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of Vietnam’s four most breathtaking mountain passes. Stretching for 20 kilometers along the legendary Happiness Road, this route offers spectacular views of dramatic limestone cliffs, the emerald Nho Que River, and the incredible Tu San Canyon – the deepest canyon in Southeast Asia.
From Ma Pi Leng, we’ll ride through the stunning M-shaped Road connecting Meo Vac and Yen Minh, and then head towards Mau Due for lunch.
In the afternoon, the journey back to Ha Giang continues via the scenic Thai An Road, with three more stops to admire:
- The peaceful Mien River,
- The picturesque Aboong Waterfall,
- And the lush green mountains of Du Gia National Park.
Finally, we arrive back in Ha Giang city, and from there, you’ll board the sleeper bus to return to Hanoi.
